Research Project: SASAMU

Synthesis of Assistance Services in Adhoc Multi-Media Environments

  Research Project Information
Runtime: Dec 01, 2006 until Nov 30, 2009
Scientific staff: Dr.-Ing. Florian Marquardt
Student staff: Mathias Knoop

The purpose of the research is to synthesize possible and emergent assistance services for the user during spontaneous coupling of multimedia devices. Planning methods play a decisive role to make targeted and coordinated service composition according to user preferences possible. Herein options, goals and preferences must be balanced dynamically. A flexible sollution is to be developed to meet the dynamic and heterogeneity of the ensemble. A mobile broker is to be developed, which bottom-up identifies possible "new" assistance services based on ontology, environmental model, preferences, planer and inference system. Thus research interests centers on service composition.
